This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing deposits, cancellations, refunds, and related matters for all welding and fabrication services provided by Britch & Sons Welding & Fab. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms set forth in this policy.
2. Deposit Requirements
For most projects, we require a deposit to secure your project slot and begin procurement of materials. Deposit amounts vary based on project scope:
- Projects under $500: No deposit required, payment due upon completion
- Projects $500 - $2,000: 25% deposit required
- Projects over $2,000: 50% deposit required
- Custom/fabrication orders: 50% deposit required
Deposits are applied toward the final project cost and are non-refundable once work has commenced.
3. Cancellation Terms
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation terms are as follows:
Before Work Begins
- More than 14 days before scheduled start: Full deposit refund
- 7-14 days before scheduled start: 50% of deposit refunded
- Less than 7 days before scheduled start: Deposit non-refundable
After Work Has Commenced
- Once fabrication or welding has begun, deposits are non-refundable
- Payments made for materials that cannot be returned or restocked are non-refundable
- Any completed work will be billed at the quoted rate, regardless of project cancellation
4. Refund Process
If you are eligible for a refund based on our cancellation terms, the process is as follows:
- Submit a written refund request via email or mail
- Refunds are processed within 14 business days of approval
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Credit card refunds may take 3-5 business days to appear on your statement
- Check refunds are mailed and may take 7-10 business days to receive
5. Project Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your project, please contact us as soon as possible:
- Rescheduling more than 7 days before start: No fee, deposit applied to new date
- Rescheduling 3-7 days before start: $100 rescheduling fee
- Rescheduling less than 48 hours before start: 25% of deposit applied to new date
6. Satisfaction Guarantee
We take pride in our workmanship and want you to be completely satisfied with our services. If you have concerns about the quality of our work, please notify us within 14 days of project completion. We will:
- Inspect the work in question at our expense
- Address any legitimate workmanship issues at no additional cost
- Work with you to reach a satisfactory resolution
7. Material Returns
Custom-ordered or specially procured materials cannot be returned for refund. Standard materials that remain in original condition may be returnable for credit (not cash refund) toward future purchases, subject to a 15% restocking fee.
8. Mobile Welding Cancellations
For mobile welding services, additional terms apply:
- Mobile service appointments canceled more than 48 hours in advance: No fee
- Mobile service canceled 24-48 hours in advance: $50 cancellation fee
- Mobile service canceled less than 24 hours in advance: Trip fee charged
- On-site no-show: Trip fee plus any applicable cancellation fee
9. Weather Delays
For outdoor projects or mobile welding services, weather conditions may require rescheduling. We will not charge cancellation fees for weather-related delays. We will work with you to find the earliest available reschedule date.
10. Dispute Resolution
If you have concerns about any charges, refunds, or service quality, we encourage you to contact us directly to discuss the matter. We are committed to finding amicable solutions to any disputes. Should formal resolution be necessary, disputes will be handled in accordance with the governing law specified in our Terms of Service.
11. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this website. The policy in effect at the time of your deposit or project initiation will apply to your transaction.
